Volunteer
Join your hand and voice with Voces y Manos to create a healthy, just world. As an organization with no paidstaff, the “sweat-equity” of our volunteers makes us function. Everyone, from the Board of Directors to the participants in the Summer program all volunteer their time and skills.

Here are a few opportunities to get involved:
- Summer Program Volunteers in Rabinal: We are looking for volunteers with conversational Spanish skills to join us in Guatemala this summer! We need people interested in public health, education, pre-health professionals, or are looking for an international volunteer experience.
- Internship Program: This is a unique opportunity for students in the San Diego area. Interns play an integral role in solidifying our organization’s core programs and building its future. In the process, interns will gain valuable experience in organizational development, program evaluation, and grant writing—critical skills for those seeking to build a more just and sustainable future in a wide variety of fields.
- Host a fundraiser! We always need financial support to be able to continue our work. If you are looking for a way to give some extra support to our scholarship students, or program as a whole, hosting a fundraiser for us in your community is a great way to be involved. Some ideas include:
-Host a dinner
-Get donations from local businesses for a raffle
-Collect recyclables (cans and bottles) and donate the proceeds for us
-Hand out containers for people to collect their change in for a month
-Be creative!
