Andrew Carmona is an international development practitioner currently working at Social Impact, a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) management consulting firm in the Washington, DC area. In his current role, he manages a portfolio of impact and performance evaluations of international aid projects across Latin America, Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Andrew has a passion for M&E, data visualization, information, communication, and technology for development (ICT4D), as well as innovative project design. He has over 11 years of experience working in health, WASH, agriculture, education, and governance projects.
Andrew visited Rabinal in March 2007 alongside Michael Bakal on their first trip to the community with the American Jewish World Service. Over the years, Andrew and Michael have kept in touch and in 2016, Andrew officially joined the Voces y Manos board as the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation. Andrew holds a Master of Public Administration in Development Practice from Columbia University and a B.A. in International Studies from UC San Diego. Originally from Los Angeles, he speaks Spanish and French fluently.
