Reina Raxcacó

Reyna Cristina Morales Raxcacó is an educator from the community of Guachipilín, Rabinal, Baja Verapaz. She graduated as a Primary Education Teacher from the Bilingual Intercultural Teacher Training School and later earned her Secondary Education Teaching degree from the Faculty of Humanities at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala.

She began her professional path in 2014 through a scholarship provided by Voces y Manos, which allowed her to complete her practicum at Asociación Qachuu Aloom Madre Tierra, where she later joined as a staff member. Over the years, she has taken on various roles in the areas of holistic health, food processing, and commercialization. She has facilitated nutrition workshops for breastfeeding mothers and families, and has also participated in the production and sale of amaranth-based products.

She currently serves as Secretary of Voces y Manos, where she contributes to organizational strengthening and supports the follow-up of institutional processes.

Her experience brings together education, community health, and food security, and has been strengthened through ongoing learning processes throughout her career, reflecting a strong commitment to continuous growth and to the well-being of rural communities.
