
Wesvin Romeo Herrera Manuel is an Agroecology Promoter at Voces y Manos, where he collaborates in agroecology training activities, large-scale reforestation and livestock vaccination campaigns, coordination of community groups, and other initiatives. He is originally from the community of Pichec, Santa Ana sector, Rabinal, Baja Verapaz. From an early age, he has been involved in agricultural and livestock work, developing practical knowledge in raising backyard poultry, pigs, and cattle, as well as in maize production. Experiences that have strengthened his interest in and commitment to rural development and community agroecology.
He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with an Emphasis in Horticulture at Universidad Rafael Landívar, San Luis Gonzaga Campus, S.J., Zacapa. Thanks to his academic performance and social vocation, he joined Voces y Manos por el Buen Vivir as an intern in 2024, gaining work experience while continuing his university studies.
Wesvin is characterized by his willingness to work in the field, support farming families, and share knowledge with communities, guiding his learning and professional practice toward strengthening livelihoods through sustainable agroecological practices.
