Yenifer Gòmez

Yenifer Valey Gómez currently collaborates by seeking grants for Voces y Manos and supporting the project “Recovery of Ancestral Practices through Agroecology” which aims to encourage children to value Achí ancestral knowledge and practices.

She is originally from the municipality of Rabinal, Baja Verapaz, and is the daughter of farming parents dedicated to maize cultivation. Yenifer has built a career spanning more than ten years connected to Voces y Manos. Her involvement began as a volunteer in Health Fairs and later expanded to various institutional processes, including school scholarship programs, community projects, and professional internships, eventually becoming a direct collaborator of the organization.

She is a Business Administration Technician and has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Sciences. Throughout her academic training, she combined her studies with active commitment to community development, strengthening her leadership, coordination, and social advocacy skills.

Her trajectory reflects a sustained commitment to the integral development of children, youth, and rural communities, contributing to the revitalization of ancestral knowledge and the construction of Buen Vivir through agroecology.
